Soup Kitchen (Soupz On). TAFE Park, Darwin St, Cessnock (opposite Coles loading dock).
What: Meals, food & toiletry packs.
When: Friday & Saturday; 7pm to 10pm(ish).
Conditions: Primary target is homeless, however anyone needing help is welcome.
Lifeboat Foodbank. Gillieston Heights Community Centre, 209 Cessnock Rd, Gillieston Heights.
What: $5 food basket for purchase.
When: Thursday 3pm to 5pm.
Conditions:
Hope Baskets. Hope Valley Church, 169 Vincent St, Cessnock.
What: Food hamper and/or small frozen meals may be available.
When: Tues, Wed & Fri 10am – 1pm. Assistance on other days (including Sunday morning) may be possible – contact the church 4991 1603 or visit their ‘Front Room’ Mon – Fri 9am-2pm, Thur 12pm-2pm.
Conditions: Centrelink card NOT necessary. One hamper per person every 8 weeks (more frequent for hardship may be considered).

Cessnock Emergency Relief Service. 198-202 Vincent St, Cessnock (operates from the Samaritans Information Neighbourhood Centre).
What: Food vouchers and/or food parcels.
When: Monday, Wednesday & Friday; 10am to 1pm. Must ring 4993 3430 at 9:45am for appointment.
Conditions: Current Centrelink statement is required (hardship also considered). Can access service 4 times a year, 8 weeks between visits.
Food War Inc. (Cessnock Branch). 10/14 North Ave, Cessnock.
What: Food for purchase at low cost along with some free food.
When: Monday to Friday; 9:30am to 3pm.
Conditions: Membership (free) is required, along with Government concession card (hardship also considered).
St Vincent de Paul (Cessnock Branch). The Cottage, 6A Cumberland St, Cessnock.
What: Food vouchers.
When: Tuesday, Wednesday & Friday; 10am to 12pm. Must ring 1800 676 935 between 9am & 10am for appointment.
Conditions: Current Centrelink statement is required (hardship also considered).
Kurri Kurri Community Services Food Co-operative. 251 Lang St, Kurri Kurri.
What: Food for purchase at low cost.
When: Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday; 10am to 1:30pm.
Conditions: Government benefits card (hardship also considered). Letter of support from referring agency also considered.
The Vines Community Church Foodcare. TEMPORARILY CLOSED

When: Thursday & Friday; 10am to 1pm. Food parcels may be available Mon to Wed.
